Another Successful Riviera Maya Jazz Festival Comes and Goes
Music was the constant this weekend in the Riviera Maya as the 3-day annual Jazz Festival began Friday and continued into Sunday.
In its 13th year, the Jazz Festival has become wildly popular with more than 45,000 people heading to Mamitas Beach to take in the grandiose show. Crowds gather in the sand for as far as the eye can see where they take in the free event.
The event attracts numerous big names including Los Carres, Torus, Uncle Gus, Phil Perry, Zappa Plays Zappa, Zawinul Legacy and Gino Vanelli. The festival is set seaside each year offering up some of the best Caribbean and Brazilian rhythms around.
Echoing throughout most of central Playa del Carmen was the music from three spectacular days of blues, jazz, hip hop and rock which began at 7:00 p.m. each night. Beach areas were overflowing with spectators as both locals and visitors to the area were brought together by the music.
Fans will have to wait another year until the 2016 version of the annual Jazz Festival returns to the beautiful beaches of Playa del Carmen where another spectacular musical lineup will come to life.
