A study by the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin showed that people who travel only once every two years are more likely to suffer from depression and stress than those who go on holiday at least twice a year.

A study by Cornell University shows travel that includes new culture, traditions and perspectives make people happier in the long run over buying material things.
- Traveling reduces the risk of heart attack
With a poor diet and lack of physical exercise, more and more people are suffering heart attacks. Studies have found that men who do not take vacations for several years are 30 percent more likely to have a heart attack. By contrast, men who travel regularly are 21 percent less likely to suffer a heart attack. Women traveling only once every six years are eight times more likely to suffer a heart attack.
Although the findings may seem surprising, studies show that people who travel tend to be more active. Frequent travelers enable themselves to get out of the daily routine, and once at their destination, they often participate in physical activities such as hiking, climbing, snorkeling which increase physical and mental well-being.
