Over the years the Mayan Riviera has established itself as Golf Destination location in Mexico. There are many resort courses to choose from. Today I wanted to share with you our top 5 choices based on personal preference and experience. There are many more courses out there like the Cozumel Country Club, The Playa Mujeres Course and many others. We just prefer the 5listed possible of distance of travel but more because of personal experiences. Where ever you choose to play enjoy the beauty these courses offer and have fun.

El Camelon in Mayaboka.

Home of the only PGA tournament in Mexico the El Camelon Golf course offers amazing greens, two stunning par 3 ocean front Holes. The entire 18 Hole par 72 course offers you a amazing signature design by Greg Norman` Shark Group. From the Mangrove Areas through the Cenote Water ways and the Stunning Ocean front holes. El Camelon is one of the more expensive courses to play in the Area but it is also one of the Top rated courses in terms of course quality, service and amenities.

Hardrock Golf Club in Playacar
This Robert von Hagge Course is one of the older courses in the area. Established in 1994 in is the heart of Playa Car. The 18 Hole Par 72 course offers a total length of 7144 Yards. Personally if feel the course is very challenging and a lost of Balls can be lost because of its doglegs and deep forest areas along the greens. This is an all-inclusive course and some great deals can be found on various websites. For residence and locals there are also special rates offered.

Riviera Maya Golf Club at Bahia Principe.
This Robert Trent Jones JR. Course was established in 2010 and offers a 18 Hole Par 72 course with 7272 of yardage and a short 9 Hole Par 27 Executive course. I personally enjoy the open areas this stunning course offers. The Service is excellent at the Riviera Maya Golf club. Excellent practice area and course condition. There is a lot of water on this course and it is a ton of fun to play.

The Grand Coral Riviera Maya Golf Course:
This Nick Price designed course was established in 2011. The 18 Hole par 71 course offers 7043 of Yardage. The layout of this course is challenging, the par 3’s are fairly long (depending on tees of course). The fairways and greens were wide and inviting. The bunkers were well maintained and the greens were nice. Food and Beverages are not included in the course so be prepared. The service at Grand coral can be slow at times compared to some of the other courses we played. The Staff just like any of the other courses is always friendly and willing to help.

The Iberostar Golf course
The Iberostar Course opened in the year 2005. The course was designed by P.B. Dye.
The 18 Hole Par 72 course offer a total of 6701 yards. The course is located between Playa del Carmen and Cancun. Usually I am not crazy about Pete Dye Designed courses, but found this course to be quite fun. Not a lot of blind tee shots and not too tricked up. Course conditions are excellent and lay out was good. Lots of variety and the scenery is gorgeous.
