Pat Perez Wins OHL Mayakoba Classic
This weekend marked the 10th anniversary of the Mayakoba PGA Tournament, an event that drew record crowds. With near-perfect weather and one of the world’s most beautiful sea-side settings, thousands turned out to watch as golfers from around the world fought for the latest title.
With more than a million dollars on the table, this year’s participants included over 70 of the world’s finest, all putting their way over the greens at Mayakoba. From November 10 to 13, golf enthusiasts lined nearly every inch of available space at the El Camaleon golf course as they watched the best of the best make their way across the greens.
This year’s winner of the 2016 OHL Classic at Mayakoba was Pat Perez. Picking up his second PGA Tour win by two shots, Perez walked away with the 2016 title, beating out Gary Woodland at 21-under 263.
Russell Knox, who finished P-2 last year to Graeme McDowell, finished third at 18 under, while Kevin Streelman, Scott Piercy and Chez Reavie tied for fourth. For full details of the weekend’s events, visit the OHL Classic website.
