Riviera Maya hotel takes TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame win

If you’re an avid traveler, there’s no doubt you’ve visited the infamous TripAdvisor website at some point. If you’ve been on their website lately, you may (or may not) have noticed a new Hall of Fame statement from them.

The well-known travel website, where millions of people head to share their travel and hotel experiences, has given the Cancun and Riviera Maya region a mention for Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame category. It seems, according to popular opinion, major luxury and brand-name hotels have what it takes to win the Hall of Fame category for the fifth year in a row.

According to the statement, Hacienda Tres Rios and Sunset Marina Resort & Yacht Club have consistently received top evaluations by users of TripAdvisor, one of the largest travel sites in the world. But it was Grand Velas Riviera Maya who was the recipient of the award Hall of Fame by TripAdvisor 2015.


The website attracts more than 60 million visitors a month where travelers can have their say about destinations, hotels, airlines, restaurants and activities.

TripAdvisor says that 80 percent of travelers plan their trip using this site and choose the places based on positive comments.

The distinction was awarded to establishments that were honored for five consecutive years includes the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in recognition of its hospitality and superb reviews from travelers.
